The Kansas City Chiefs tight end opens up in a new cover story for WSJ magazine’s December-January issue where he talks about all things, admitting that he may have had some help when it came to pursuing the pop star and spilling on who actually reached out first.
Travis previously said that he unsuccessfully attempted to give Taylor his phone number on a friendship bracelet when he attended her Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City earlier this year.
He later issued a public invitation for the singer to join him at one of his NFL games and in September, she took him up on it.

Now Travis tells the magazine that there were definitely people she knew who knew who he was in her corner who said, “Yo, did you know he was coming? I had somebody playing cupid.”
Travis admits that he only learned about that after he received a notification from Taylor on his phone. She told him exactly what was going on and how he got lucky to get her to reach out.
The matchmakers were Taylor’s young cousins who were fans of the two-time Super Bowl champion. “She’ll probably hate me for saying this, but she came to Arrowhead, they gave her the big locker room as a dressing room. And her little cousins were taking pictures in front of my locker.”
Travis has previously been uncharacteristically tight-lipped about his relationship with Taylor and now he explains why.
Travis: “That was the big thing to me: make sure I don’t say anything that would push Taylor away.” Travis adds that he never dated someone with that kind of aura about them but he says he’s not running away from any of it.
