Waka Flocka has been making news since he confirmed on Instagram that he is dating a girl called Mel. The Shade Room posted on Instagram that Mel is said to be a teacher.
On January 10, 2024, the rapper shared a photo with Mel where they were standing by a helicopter, showing that they are a couple now.
The comments section was filled with many responses, with people showing disapproval of the fact that Flocka chose to move on so quickly after breaking up with his wife, Tammy River, in 2022.
As people kept reacting to the photo, Waka Flocka decided to stop the issue by writing in the comments section of his post, where he said:
“If y’all really loved me and Tammy respectfully can y’all respect our personal life’s.”
Tammy’s daughter Charlie also backed up her father at the same spot, asking people to let him be. She also said that her mother and stepfather are content and pleased with what they have now.

Waka Flocka and Tammy Rivera’s relationship faced many challenges
The Jasmine Brand reported that Waka Flocka and Tammy Rivera eloped and got married secretly. Flocka’s mother, Debra Antney, told RumorFix in an interview that she wanted to be involved in the wedding, but her son and Rivera got the marriage license without telling anyone.
